You can change the skin by replacing the png files and modifying the config.xml to change the fonts and

The app supports multi-language. Spanish and English translations are included. To translate the app to your language just copy the texts.txt file to a file called texts_XXX.txt where XXX is the 3 chars ISO code for your language and then translate the texts included in that file. Careful with the line orders and line breaks, also take care to keep the UTC16 encoding. Check the youtube video for more info

Multi Touch on Windows Mobile ?

Posted: 19 Aug 2008 07:00 PM CDT

Did you know that the HTC Touch Diamond and Pro has got some really wicked hidden features. Using an application called Nav Debug Tool by HTC, the video shows that the whole front of the device can track finger movements, and even two fingers !!!!! The one thing iphone users brag about used to the multi touch, well we are going to get it soon enough.

So far there is no know feature on the Touch Diamond/ Pro that exploits this, but once the good folks @ xda-developers get their hands on the API it wont be too long. With features like multi touch and accelerometer , HTC Touch diamond and Touch Pro should be ready to be flashed with WM7 !!

GSlide - Finger Friendly File Explorer on Windows Mobile

Posted: 18 Aug 2008 08:43 AM CDT

GSlide

GSlide is a simple yet versatile file explorer with a thumb friendly kinetic slider interface.

Right now it explores only files and folders, but pretty soon you will be able to iterate xml. Or any structured data actually.

For now it is only a viewer, so it wont mess around with files and should be harmless. Of course, as usual, no guarantees of any sort are given.

To install just drop the folder into your Programs folder. It works wherever you place it, but I have set up some example shortcuts with command line arguments which assume that you put it at the default location.

- added support to RealVGA.
- won’t keep the system alive when it’s paused.
- separate CAB files for QVGA(low-res) & VGA(high-res) devices.
- fixed the issue that all memory was ate up for some problematic embedded album pic.

The wait for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 finally over , release date in Oct

Posted: 14 Aug 2008 05:45 PM CDT

Alt-txt

Well its about time we heard some good news about the Sony Ericsson’s highly anticipated device Xperia X1. Its got a great specification and a cool new User Interface and we started hearing about the device a while back with no release date in sight.

Here is a quote from reghardware.co.uk

In a recent promotional email, retailer Expansys said that the phone's "release date is set for week 41 (Oct 6-12)". Expansys also said the “arc slider” handste will cost £590 ($1100/€740), SIM-free.

The launch date is still open to some interpretation, though. An Expansys spokesman told Register Hardware that although it's received "a couple of demo units through from Sony Ericsson", he still didn't have a confirmed release date - despite the email.

On the plus side, the spokesman added that the arrival of demo units is a sure sign that the handset will be available to customers in the near future.
